Transforming Corona into Possibility

"If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got." – Moms Mabley

During the COVID-19 quarantine, PeoplesLab recognized this time of isolation as an invaluable opportunity to focus within: to recognize habits, biases, resistances and reactions; to witness, feel assess and change. Through a series of  Zoom sessions PeoplesLab offered reflexive and participatory tools which participants could apply to navigate these disorienting times. Artists, cultural workers and civic leaders joined each session to connect with one another from across the USA, Canada and Europe.

Facilitated discussion included questions:

  • As we awaken into this new world, who are we?

  • How do we assess conditions with new eyes, ears, minds and bodies, weave our ways towards developing new generative models for who we want to be and how we can best work with others?

  • Down the road, will people hug each other more, or, will we fear each other more than ever?

Created for people working with people, PeoplesLab programs realign thinking to build more equitable, generative relations that lead to effective collaboration and social change. People emerge from the Lab as more thoughtful and responsive individuals, capable of meeting life’s most challenging moments with grace, generosity and strength.
